A Pedilonum section Dendrobe, with bottle brush type clusters of orange flowers, labellum striped red, borne along the leafless canes. Dendrobium topaziacum is a very colourful species, a large robust grower, and is very tolerant of growing conditions. A small pot or basket with a media that stays damp but not wet and ample water and fertiliser when in active growth will produce long canes. Maximum sunlight short of leaf burn encourages full flowering. Also known as Dendrobium bullenianum, and it is a Philippines species.
