A small growing species like Phalenopsis lueddemaniana, this species has had a number of names. Originally collected and exported from Philippines with Phalaenopsis mareae, and also called by that name, this species has been described as Phalaenopsis deltonii and then identified as Phalaenopsis bastianii. A small basket with an open media is best. The old flower spikes will produce aerial plantlets, which can be tied back to the basket to produce a specimen. A warm grower, keep damp but not wet, and in the cooler months, less water.
