A New Guinea species that produces a tall spike that flowers progressively. This species, once established, does not like to be disturbed, so a good size basket and a media that will stay damp but not wet are required. Plenty of sunlight, water and fertiiliser when in active growth and the plant will form a specimen clump. When not in growth, cut back the water, especially in the cooler months, as it is a warm grower.
