A showy strong growing Philippino species. The spikes bear a single flower to 8 cm across, glossy yellow, the hinged lip is darker. The lateral sepals have a large red stripe. Bulbophyllum Dearei is a compact clumping type that will grow into a specimen in a basket or large shallow pot/tray.
Lots of water and fertiliser when in growth, and it will tolerate a lot of sunlight which improves the flowering effort. A warm to intermediate grower.
