A stout cane softcane Dendrobium, deciduous in winter. In spring a repot is of benefit and the plants will do best if kept dry in winter. Heavy feeders in active growth, the Dendrobium does best in a pot or basket with good drainage. A media that will stay damp but not wet, and maximum sunlight just short of leaf burn will promote flowering.
