This is a long caned deciduous species that requires a dry rest in winter. With the start of new growth, lots of water and fertiliser will promote long canes and more flowers, which are produced in pairs at the nodes. The plants of Dendrobium anosum flower early spring, after winter and as the new growths appear. Flowers are large and very fragrant, almost to the point of being overpowering. Lots of sunlight and a large hanging basket will accommodate the pendulous canes.
