A spectacular species with an erect spike to 1.2 metres high, 60 or so showy well coloured flowers. Grow in a small slotted pot or basket, not overpotted.
When the aerial roots have formed a saucer, there is no need to repot, fertilise by putting manure on the saucer.Grammatophyllum species are warm growers, requiring maximum sunlight short of leaf burn.
