A minature, clumping species from Brazil. Ideal culture is a treefern slab, but a small shallow pot or basket with a well drained media will suffice. Sophronitis cernua is an intermediate grower, it does not like to be wet when resting, so after the flowers fade, keep somewhat on the dry side until the new growth appears. Light requirements similar to that for Dendrobiums or Cattleyas, excess sunlight stresses the small plant.
