This has the evergreen growth of Spathoglottis plicata, but the flowers are heavier textured and much richer in colour. It clumps quickly in a humus rich soil media, and will need a good sized pot. Winter in colder climes may force dormancy, at which time the bulbs should be keep somewhat dryer. Spring and new leads indicate the best repot time, and Spathoglottis benefit from frequent repots into fresh media.
