A climbing species, Trichoglottis retuse needs something to clamber up, a piece of treefern or cork or old fence paling. Once established in a shallow pot or basket, the plant, once it gets too high, can be top cut and the cutting started off again at the base of the original to form a clump. A coarse open media, lots of sunlight and a warm to interemdiate climate will produce a fine specimen.
