Tall spikes waxy glossy fragrant flowers. A rock growing bifoliate Cattleya from Brazil. A well drained pot is essential, especially in the cooler months when the plant is not actively growing.
The media should be open, apply adequate water and fertiliser when growing, and cut water when the plant rests after flowering. Cattleya elongata is a warm to intermediate grower.
