A Sumatran species also found in Northern Australia. A dweller of the edges of lowland rainforest edged creeks, where it grows in the rich soil and leafmould.
Like most Habenarias, this species needs a rich terretsrial media, lots of water when growing, and a dry rest when leaves die back. A repot into fresh media each year may be the secret to cultivating magnificent plants of this genus.
