A large growing multiflowered species with a branched spike to 6 feet tall. Best grown in a large basket, lots of sunlight and water and fertiliser when in active growth. An intermediate to warm grower from Mexico to Central America, specimen baskets can be grown as a garden feature if protected from excess heat or cold. Oncidium spacelatum seems to tolerate a variety of medias, if provided with excellent drainage.
