A showy mottled leafed species from China. Typical Paphiopedilum culture, small pot with a well drained media that will hold some moisture, but not remain wet and soggy.
This species grows well, even in the hot tropics if a cooler more shady spot is found for it. Photograph is of the Chineses form, beautifully flushed rose, raised from seed at Burleigh Park.
